Aris Limassol back first on the standings and securing a 1-0 victory over Pafos FC
On January 11 at the Alphamega Stadium happened a legendary clash between two of the top teams in the Cypriot League. Aris Limassol and Pafos FC. With both sides wanting to be at the top of the table.
I decided to start my 2025 with a very interesting game between Aris Limassol and Pafos.

The game began with both teams showing plenty of energy and intent.
As the first half wore on, the tension began to rise. Aris Limassol’s Eric Boakye was shown a yellow card in the 22nd minute. Pafos, too, began to push forward with more urgency but Aris goalkeeper Vana was on alert to any threats. The first half ended with the scores locked at 0-0, leaving everything to play for in the second period.

The breakthrough came in the 63rd minute, much to the delight of the home supporters. As Veljko Nikolic made sure that the ball found the back of the net.
Pafos responded with determination, increasing their intensity in search of an equalizer. The visitors came close on a few occasions but they were unable to score.

Despite Pafos pushing, Aris held firm, showing resilience and tactical discipline to see out the game.
