Italy won the UEFA European Under-17 Championship in Cyprus in 2024 by defeating Portugal 3-0 in the final, which took place on June 5 at the Limassol Stadium. This victory marked Italy's first title in the U-17 European Championship since its establishment in 2001

The Italian team showed impressive form throughout the tournament. In the group stage, Italy topped Group C with victories over Poland, Slovakia, and Sweden. They continued their strong performance in the knockout stages, edging out England in the quarter-finals via a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw and narrowly defeating Denmark 1-0 in the semi-finals.

In the final against Portugal, Italy displayed a dominant performance. Francesco Camarda, Federico Coletta, and Mattia Liberali each scored, securing the championship for Italy. This victory ended Italy's streak of finishing as runners-up in previous U-17 European Championship finals in 2013, 2018, and 2019.
