APOEL Nicosia secured the Cypriot Super Cup with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Pafos FC on September 25, 2024, at the Alphamega Stadium.
The goal came in the first minute, when Kingsley Sarfo found the back of the net, giving APOEL the early advantage. Despite Pafos FC's efforts to equalise, APOEL's defence held strong throughout the 90 minutes.
The game was an intense battle, with both teams creating opportunities, but ultimately, Pafos was unable to break through APOEL’s defence. APOEL managed the game well after taking the lead, absorbing pressure and countering when necessary. The second half saw Pafos pressing for an equaliser, introducing new players like Leon Natel and Kostas Pileas, but they couldn't find the finishing touch. APOEL, on the other hand, maintained their composure and saw the game out to claim the Super Cup title.
